PUBLICATION

Deadline

Papers presented at the Forum may be subsequently submitted for publication in the form of edited books, and/or journal articles, hardcopy or online.

The deadline for submissions is roughly two months after the conclusion of the Forum.

Spring 2024 submit by 15 May

Publications that are refereed with positive results through the Forum peer review process will be recommended for publication in selected outlets.

Process

Mail completed paper to editor@journalofeducationfinance.com. Manuscripts submitted for publication must be original and not under consideration by any other publication. If a paper has been presented at a meeting or conference, the author should state where and when the paper was presented. All authors will be required to sign a consent-to-publish form upon acceptance.

Manuscripts submitted are processed as follows: The staff initially reviews the manuscript. If the manuscript does not fall within the scope of the Forum or is not formatted according to CMS, 16th ed., or APA, it will be returned to the author.

If a manuscript is in accord with the guidelines, an email acknowledgement is sent to the author. All references to the author’s name and affiliation are to be removed, and the manuscript is required to be submitted for blind review by academics with knowledge of the academic field within which the manuscript is categorised. With the advice of the reviewers, the Forum Editor will make one of four decisions: accept, accept contingent upon revision, revise and resubmit, or reject.

Technical Requirements

The title of the manuscript should appear at the top of the first page. A complete title page, listing the article title, authors, and contact information, should be submitted as a separate file.

Correspondence during the review and production processes will be addressed to the author listed first.

Manuscripts should conform to either the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition or the APA style format.

Papers should not be much longer than 20-25 pages or 12500 words.

Copy should be double-spaced with margins of 1” at the top, bottom, and on both sides.

Manuscripts accepted for publication should contain a two-paragraph abstract, introduction, and conclusion, and heading levels should be indicated throughout. There should be no hyphenation, printed borders, or line numbering.

All manuscripts must have references (not a bibliography).

Manuscripts accepted for publication should be prepared as Microsoft Word documents, with the manuscript in one file, title page in one file, and tables in another. Figures and other illustrative materials should be provided as grayscale TIFF, PDF, or EPS files. A maximum of five graphs or tables is allowed.
